A Child’s DREAM Offers iServe Free Therapy

A Child’s DREAM, Baguio’s 1st pediatric therapy center for children with special needs, an Autism Society of the Philippines national corporate member, offers iServe – FREE Seminar for Parents, Caregivers, Teachers and FREE Physical, Occupational, Speech Therapy, special education evaluations and home programs. This was announced by Dr. Francis Xavier Dimalanta, DREAM Founder & Medical Director.

The Free Therapy will be given on October 26, 2011, Wednesday from 8 am to 4 pm, at the Immaculate Conception Parish, Ledesma St., Aurora Hill, Baguio City. October is National Children’s month, as DREAM partners with the Department of Health, Cordillera Administrative Region, the City of Baguio and the Baguio City Health Services Department in iServe. A Child’s DREAM celebrates its 8th year anniversary, having been incorporated with SEC in October 2003.

Rosario Gonzalez Joaquin), Autism Intervenionist, Behavior Therapist, Special Education Consultant, President, Shine Special Education Center, Inc. &  SPED Consultant of DREAM  as she facilitates a Workshop on Autism for Parents & Therapists on “ Relationship Between Communication & Behavior” to help better understand what a person with autism is like. It will include Functions of Behavior to accurately identify what behavioral manifestations to address based on a Functional Behavior Analysis (FBA) on July 11, 2011, Monday, 9am – 12 noon at A Child’s DREAM (446-6121 & 0917-8119032) Pines City Lion’s Club, Gov. Autism Association of Australia Parent Talks on Autism – Aug 2010

Last August 14, 2010, an Australian-Filipino parent, Mr. Karim Pacis, gave a talk on“Biomedical Interventions in the Treatment of Autism”. Mr. Pacis, a member of the Townsville group of the Autism Association in Australia, is a registered nurse, who has an 11 year old son with autism, Mitchell. Mitchell has been having therapy sessions at A Child’s DREAM in 2010. Doctors, nurses, therapists, teachers, parents attended the lecture-forum. The discussion included cod liver oil & colostrum supplementation, autism therapy,  stem cell therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, among others. A Child’s D.R.E.A.M. (Developmental Rehabilitative Early Assessment & Management) Foundation, Inc. is Baguio’s first pediatric therapy center for special children. Services include medical assessment - developmental & behavioral pediatric evaluation; physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech & language therapy, dance therapy, SPED (special education) programs & tutorials, home programs, parenting seminars. A Child’s DREAM Presents Balikbayans Care : Workshops for Children with Special Needs – Nov 2009

A Child’s DREAM Foundation, Inc., Baguio City’s first pediatric therapy center for special children, presents Balikbayans Care. This is in line with Baguio Centennial’s theme : Fostering A Culture of Caring. A Child’s DREAM Founder & Medical Director Dr. Francis Xavier Dimalanta & Exec. Director Mita Angela Dimalanta announced that Canadian Balikbayans will facilitate Clinical Workshops for children with special needs. Triple P (Positive Parenting Program), Occupational Therapy, Adapted Physical Activity, Behavioral Management Workshops will be held in Baguio City at the Lions International Clubhouse at Gov. Pack Rd. from November 17 to November 19. Family training as well as multi-disciplinary presentations will be conducted.

In celebrating Baguio City’s Centennial, A Child’s DREAM (Developmental Rehabilitative Early Assessment and Management) Foundation, Inc. , Baguio’s first pediatric therapy center for special children presents Links of Love: A Caring Community, a week long event series regarding children with special needs, Sep. 3-5, 2009 at the Lions Club International Foundation Clubhouse, Gov. Pack Road, and Sep. 7-8 at SM City Baguio. All seminars and workshops will be held at LCIF. Affiliates of the event include Stanford University and the Down Syndrome Association of the Philippines.

Ongpin Foundation Inc. sponsored Organic Orientation Seminar/Workshop last May 29, 2009. The workshop included discussions on the advantages of organic vegetables, fruits, food nutrients, preparation and farming for parents of our special children.
