A Child’s DREAM Offers iServe Free Therapy

A Child’s DREAM, Baguio’s 1st pediatric therapy center for children with special needs, an Autism Society of the Philippines national corporate member, offers iServe – FREE Seminar for Parents, Caregivers, Teachers and FREE Physical, Occupational, Speech Therapy, special education evaluations and home programs. This was announced by Dr. Francis Xavier Dimalanta, DREAM Founder & Medical Director.

The Free Therapy will be given on October 26, 2011, Wednesday from 8 am to 4 pm, at the Immaculate Conception Parish, Ledesma St., Aurora Hill, Baguio City. October is National Children’s month, as DREAM partners with the Department of Health, Cordillera Administrative Region, the City of Baguio and the Baguio City Health Services Department in iServe. A Child’s DREAM celebrates its 8th year anniversary, having been incorporated with SEC in October 2003.

Rosario Gonzalez Joaquin), Autism Intervenionist, Behavior Therapist, Special Education Consultant, President, Shine Special Education Center, Inc. &  SPED Consultant of DREAM  as she facilitates a Workshop on Autism for Parents & Therapists on “ Relationship Between Communication & Behavior” to help better understand what a person with autism is like. Last August 14, 2010, an Australian-Filipino parent, Mr. Karim Pacis, gave a talk on“Biomedical Interventions in the Treatment of Autism”. Mr. Pacis, a member of the Townsville group of the Autism Association in Australia, is a registered nurse, who has an 11 year old son with autism, Mitchell. Mitchell has been having therapy sessions at A Child’s DREAM in 2010. Doctors, nurses, therapists, teachers, parents attended the lecture-forum. The discussion included cod liver oil & colostrum supplementation, autism therapy,  stem cell therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, among others. A Child’s D.R.E.A.M. (Developmental Rehabilitative Early Assessment & Management) Foundation, Inc. is Baguio’s first pediatric therapy center for special children. Services include medical assessment - developmental & behavioral pediatric evaluation; physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech & language therapy, dance therapy, SPED (special education) programs & tutorials, home programs, parenting seminars. A Child’s DREAM (Developmental Rehabilitative Early Assessment & Management)Foundation, Inc. the first pediatric therapy center for special children in Baguio City presented the “All Kinds of Minds for Schools” Lecture Series, this July 2009 with lectures in Manila, Philippines. The first lecture at ALRES-Phils, was attended by representatives from Immaculate Concepcion Academy, Miriam College, ALRES-Phils and their neighboring schools and therapy centers. On July 22 at the U-View theater of Fully Booked at Bonifacio High Street, Dr. Francis Xavier Dimalanta talked on Challenges Confronting Early Learners, then Anne Marie Dimalanta spoke on All Kinds of Minds to Integrow pre-school teachers, teachers from Assumption, Summit School, Kumon Learning centers.
