A Child’s DREAM, Baguio’s first pediatric therapy center for children with special needs offers developmental &   behavioral pediatric assessments, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy assessments and sessions, special education tutorials, home programs. We welcome parents, teachers, children in workshops to understand &   help those with autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, behavioral problems, cerebral palsy, developmental language disorders, down syndrome, giftedness, hearing and vision problems, learning disabilities, mental retardation, sensory impairments. DREAM therapists are sent to both local and international training. Top speech therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists oversee continuous training of therapists.

Dance Therapy at A Child’s DREAM – Jul 2010

This July 16 to September 18, 2010, A Child’s DREAM Foundation, Inc. the first pediatric therapy center for special children in Baguio City, offers“A Child’s DREAM..To Dance! ”, a Dance and Movement Class.  This is a great opportunity to enrich lives of special children through learning dance in a friendly and positive atmosphere. Your special child will gain confidence, social skills, balance, and strength. Classes will be engaging and creative. Classes will be held every Saturday 9AM-11AM.

The program will utilize the body as a form of expression, will teach skills on self-control, enhance learning and provide strategies for relaxation. Children will develop motor and kinesthetic skills, progress artistic and emotional skills, follow rhythm and patterns of movement, improve control and inhibition and build self-discipline in movement. Velarde-Mactal invite special children, their siblings,and friends to ”A Child’s DREAM…To Dance !”

A Child’s DREAM Presents Balikbayans Care : Workshops for Children with Special Needs – Nov 2009

A Child’s DREAM Foundation, Inc., Baguio City’s first pediatric therapy center for special children, presents Balikbayans Care. This is in line with Baguio Centennial’s theme : Fostering A Culture of Caring. A Child’s DREAM Founder & Medical Director Dr. Francis Xavier Dimalanta & Exec. Director Mita Angela Dimalanta announced that Canadian Balikbayans will facilitate Clinical Workshops for children with special needs. Triple P (Positive Parenting Program), Occupational Therapy, Adapted Physical Activity, Behavioral Management Workshops will be held in Baguio City at the Lions International Clubhouse at Gov. Pack Rd. from November 17 to November 19. Family training as well as multi-disciplinary presentations will be conducted.

A Child’s DREAM launches Links of Love : A Caring Community – Sep 2009

In celebrating Baguio City’s Centennial, A Child’s DREAM (Developmental Rehabilitative Early Assessment and Management) Foundation, Inc. , Baguio’s first pediatric therapy center for special children presents Links of Love: A Caring Community, a week long event series regarding children with special needs, Sep. 3-5, 2009 at the Lions Club International Foundation Clubhouse, Gov. Pack Road, and Sep. 7-8 at SM City Baguio. All seminars and workshops will be held at LCIF. Affiliates of the event include Stanford University and the Down Syndrome Association of the Philippines.

SEARCHING RAINBOWS…CATCHING DREAMS: A Creative Arts Workshop for Exceptional Children – May 2009

In line with Baguio’s Centenary, Founder & Medical Director Dr. Francis Xavier Dimalanta of A Child’s DREAM Foundation, Inc., Baguio’s first pediatric therapy center for special children, in cooperation with the University of the Philippines Baguio’s Department of Communications Head Faye Abalos will conduct the 1st Creative Arts Workshop for Exceptional Children in Baguio City in May.
